My interest in software engineering originated from playing video games and thinking about how I could create my own games with features tailored to my ideas. I was fascinated by how technology and the internet can connect people from all over the world through a screen, enabling shared experiences regardless of physical distance.
In high school, I took my first computer science class, where I learned basic programming concepts using Scratch. I enjoyed being able to create This experience motivated me to continue exploring computer science, leading me to take AP Computer Science, which introduced more challenging concepts. In that course, I worked on short programming challenges and problem-solving tasks such as iterating through arrays and manipulating strings, helping me develop a stronger foundation in logical thinking and programming.
In the future, I am leaning toward web design and interactive development, particularly creating games and applications for websites or mobile platforms. Some skills I hope to develop are my understanding of data structures and algorithms, further refinement of my coding skills, and learning how front-end development, back-end systems, and user experience design work together to create engaging and responsive applications. By advancing these skills, I hope to build projects that effectively combine creativity with technical problem-solving.
